Build It like Bollywood: Celebrity Fitness Habits to Inspire You
Sweating it out to keep fit is not easy. It requires dedication and discipline. A workout that is fun to do can help you to keep going. If you are having trouble finding the right fitness routine for you, how about getting some inspiration from some of our well-toned celebrities? Going to the gym is an option everyone knows of. Here are a few hatke ways to get healthy.
1) Ayushmann Khurrana loves to jog
When Ayushmann Khurrana is not bulking up in the gym for a specific role, he usually loves going on a jog. However he admits he has a naturally lean body so gaining unnecessary weight is not a problem for him, but getting muscled up requires work.
2) Sonakshi Sinha mixes it up
Sonakshi’s body transformation from a plump 90-kg to a well-toned 60-kg has been much talked about. She admits she hates going to the gym (we understand!), so she likes to mix her routine up to keep it interesting. Her exercise plan includes cardio exercises, weight training, functional training (exercises to facilitate everyday activity), hot yoga, spinning, swimming and tennis.
3) Malaika Arora, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone swear by Pilates
Pilates is the go-to fitness secret of many of our svelte yet taut ladies of Bollywood. It offers benefits above and beyond fitness and weight loss. As Alia Bhatt puts it, it is “energizing and meditative” as well.
4) Disha Patani does dance steps and kick-boxing
Disha broke the internet when she shared her jaw-dropping drop kick on social media while she was filming for Bharat. Now we know the actor is committed to fitness but not without a dose of fun with dancing and kicking.
5) Shilpa Shetty strikes a yoga pose
Shilpa Shetty got into Ashtanga Yoga for fitness initially because she was diagnosed with cervical spondylosis but she found that the practice not only made her feel better but also stronger and fitter, with a body to envy.
6) Akshay Kumar does it adventure hero style
Akki is super disciplined about his routine, but he makes physical activity a hero’s day out with rock climbing, martial arts, and parkour.
7) Parineeti Chopra stays fighting fit
Parineeti practices hand-to-hand combat in the tradition of Kalaripayattu from Kerala. She also goes horse-riding and swimming.
